Appointments: Certoma named SVP and COO of Broadridge's Brokerage Processing Services

Broadridge Financial Solutions has appointed Susan Certoma as senior vice president and chief operating officer of its Brokerage Processing Services business. Joining Broadridge from Wachovia Corporation, where she was responsible for overseeing technology and product strategies, Certoma's responsibilities will include overall technology, service delivery and product development support, strategy, including new platform and product innovations, and the servicing of key client relationships for the BPS business.

At Wachovia she had held the position of managing director and CIO of the Corporate and Investment Bank divisions since 2004. Previously, she held top financial and technology leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, CS First Boston and Royal Bank of Canada. Certoma earned her MBA and BA from St. John's University, and has completed a Special Studies program at Yale University, a Product Strategy program at MIT, and the Wachovia Executive Leadership Program at UNC Chapel Hill.
