Level Four, a provider of automated ATM software testing solutions, is adding three new people to its international team as it seeks to expand. The most senior hire is Wendy Rusk, who joins as president of the Americas, after leading the implementation of the cash automation division at Unisys Payment Systems. She has also held roles with DeLaRue, Pendum and Loomis Fargo. Frank Kidd joins the UK team as sales executive, bringing more than twenty years of experience after having worked for Wincor Nixdorf and NCR in cooperation with major financial institutions like RBS, Tesco Bank and HBOS. Based in Dubai, Ranura Abeysekera, is the final addition, joining Level Four as EMEA regional presale consultant, after working on numerous ATM network projects with Hatton National Bank, Nations Trust Bank and Doha Bank.
DST Global Solutions is appointing David Tryon to act as new business development manager, with a remit to drive up sales of AWD, the vendor's Business Process Management solution. He joins from Aquila, the pension administration software company, where he was also head of business development. Previous jobs include stints at KPMG Consulting, Global Home Loans and Fujitsu.
Richard Allin has been named senior vice president for Asia, in SunGard's Astec Analytics business unit, which specializes in providing market information solutions for the global securities financing industry. Based in Hong Kong, Allin will be responsible for servicing current customers, expanding the customer base and maximising synergies with other SunGard solutions. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial software and services industry, having held positions with State Street, Fidelity Investments, Trema and Investors Capital.
Celoxica, a specialist in low latency, market data and high frequency trading solutions for co-located firms, is appointing John Oddie to take on the role of chief executive, in addition to that of chief technology officer. The move frees the current head, Lee Staines, to head up the firm's expansion into the US. Oddie joined Celoxica as a non-executive director and acting CTO in early 2008 following the re-launch of the company and has been instrumental in directing the firm's advanced trading product roadmap, which they are now hoping to expand abroad.
Ian Holden is leaving BearingPoint, where he led the UK financial services practice overseeing business development and client delivery across capital markets, retail banking, and insurance, to join Capco. He will be part of the leadership team at Capco UK Banking, along with Mark Jenkinson and Peter Lewis, and has been recruited for his knowledge of customer management and digital strategy, and on the assumption of increased demand from a recovering financial services sector.
Societe Generale Private Banking has appointed Olivier Gougeon as chief executive for South Asia. He replaces Pierre-F Baer and assumes responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the Singapore office and pursuing the bank's growth strategy in South Asia alongside Alex Fung, chief executive for Hong Kong & North Asia, and Patrick Dreyfuss, who is the regional COO. Previously based in London, Gougeon had been global head of wealth planning and fiduciary services for the private bank since 2007, in charge of a team of nearly 240 advisors across 14 countries.
Alderman Roger Gifford has been installed as the 10th Master of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers. Founded as the 106th livery company of the City of London in 2004, the Company currently has over 700 members, drawn from more than 250 companies, with almost 50 nationalities represented. Many members are senior bankers but not all. The body aims to foster education, both of members and of the wider public as to the role of financial services. Gifford is presently UK Country Manager for Skandinaviska Enskilda Bank and started his career with SG Warburg & Co. Guest speaker at the inauguration was Sir Win Bischoff, chairman of Lloyds Banking Group, who challenged the bankers present to think about how a new relationship can be established between banks and their customers and what the role of banks in society should be in the future, under the theme ‘national markets-international cooperation'.
