ING trials mobile app for card customisation

Serverside Group has introduced a financial card designer for mobile phones following a trial on a Nokia handset with ING, in Amsterdam's Schiphol airport. The mobile app is the latest addition to Serverside's range of online and viral card customisation marketing tools, including a Social Network integrator, card design Competition API, ShareMyDesign email application and TalkAboutMe, a mini-version of the designer that can be embedded in home pages and blogs.

ING used the mobile designer to support a financial card design competition where people were encouraged to put their holiday snaps onto debit cards and have the chance to win a traveler's cheque to the value of €1,000. The mobile phone ‘app' enabled prospective cardholders to view how their card design would appear.
