Appointments: RBC Capital Markets hires global head of FX electronic trading

RBC Capital Markets has hired Stamos Fokianos as a managing director and global head of FX electronic trading.  Based in London, Fokianos will report to Ed Monaghan, global head of FX, RBC Capital Markets.

Fokianos joins RBC Capital Markets from Standard Charted Bank, where he was global head of eChannels.  Prior to this, Fokianos held FX eCommerce roles at Citibank and RBS. Commenting on the appointment, Monaghan said: "In response to the steady growth in FX electronic trading, Stamos' appointment demonstrates our commitment to grow our business and to offer a superior service to our clients by investing in new technologies.  Stamos' extensive experience in the FX electronic market adds great depth to our platform, enabling us to respond to this growing trend."
