HOW TO ENTER

 

The entry process for our 2010 Awards has now closed and your entries are being reviewed by our judges.

Winners will be announced at our gala Awards evening on 17th November at Grosvenor House Hotel, London, to book your table click here.

Who can enter

We accept entries from across the Europe, Middle East & Africa region with a focus on either local or European activities. Entries in more than one category are encouraged. Financial institutions may enter on their own behalf, or be nominated by a third party. Previous winners may re-enter the awards.

General Criteria for project categories

  • Dates of the overall project (all entries should be for the period from July 2009 to July 2010)
  • The key unique points of the project
  • Performance metrics
  • Project team size and mix
  • User breakdown by number
  • Financial impact/return on investment
  • Functional diagrams where appropriate

Criteria for personal awards

The winners of the personal awards - CIO of the Year, IT Team of the Year and Outstanding Contribution by a Female in Financial Technology - will be chosen by the judging panel from submitted nominations, which can be made on behalf of an individual or team.

As with other categories, the judges will be looking for an outstanding contribution to a financial institution's business.

Nominations should include a description of the particular attributes of the nominee(s) and what characteristics, approaches or successes make them stand out. Other information to include would be projects undertaken, business objectives achieved and staff under management where relevant.

Please note that for entries where a packaged software product has been used as part of the initiative, your submission should focus on how it as been deployed, the benefits achieved, and how it has been integrated with the overall technology infrastructure.

The rules

  • All entries must be written in English and emailed to bankingtechawards@informa.com
  • All entries must be no longer than 1,000 words
  • Supporting material may be supplied, but the entry document should include all information you deem necessary for your awards entry
  • The chairman of the judging panel reserves the right to cast any deciding vote should the need arise
  • All entries will be treated as confidential, but Banking Technology reserves the right to publish positive extracts from winning entries
  • The verdict of the judging panel is final
