Sophis has launched version 6.0 of Risque, its trading and risk management solution for investment banks. In addition to a technology transformation, Risque 6.0 has extended its asset class coverage and now incorporates a dedicated environment for risk managers.
The dedicated risk management environment has been specifically designed for risk managers to allow them to accurately compute scenarios, store results and manipulate them in a scalable and flexible manner. Through its interface and grid computing technology Risque 6.0 is designed to handle multiple risk calculations and scenarios. Its integrated reporting capabilities should automate the reporting process for senior management as well as enabling drill downs into specific report views. New capabilities also include the ability to provide detailed analysis on market data, Greeks, transaction and day effects to outline the main contributing positions to P&L variations.

The core system architecture has been upgraded to the Microsoft .NET framework with Windows Communication Foundation and with Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation providing user experience. In addition Sophis has enabled remote access to Risque 6.0 via the web.
