VocaLink using Oracle WebLogic Server for payment processing platform

VocaLink, has implemented Oracle WebLogic Server to support a transaction processing platform that would be able to scale to meet the growth in automated payment volumes. Processing approximately 15% of Europe's automated payments, VocaLink needed a new payments system that could reliably process more than 90 million transactions a day.

VocaLink overhauled its previous payment platform - Replacement Electronic Funds Transfer - with Oracle WebLogic Server to better manage a significant growth in payment transaction volume.

The VocaLink Payments Platform should allow VocaLink to deliver uninterrupted services to its 100,000 corporate users while also advancing its mission to deliver more transactions through a wider variety of channels.

The VocaLink Real Time Payments Platform processes up to 1,400,000 payments per hour, while reducing infrastructure-provisioning times from 14 days to 2 days per environment and infrastructure project defects by 90%.
