Increasingly, financial institutions are turning to independent software providers in search of solutionsto a range of issuesthat would once have meant an expensive and risk-inherent bespoke development.

To recognise this, we have created a new category of award that will be complementary to the European Banking Technology Awardsyet continue to reflect the level of excellence that distinguishes the main awards.

In this range of categories, for the first time, Banking Technology's 10,000+ readers will be asked to vote fortheir choice ofwhat they consider to be the best systems across the product areas that we have chosen as havingthe widest range of candidates.The solutions in each category can be from vendors based anywhere, provided thatthey are available in Europe.

The nomination and voting process will be carried out using a web e-voting procedure that can be accessed here.The process willalso be moderated by a panel of well-known industry figures to prevent multiple voting and ensure fair play.
