CBA’s CommInsure launches new digital quote service
Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s (CBA) CommInsure business has unveiled a new digital service for customers and their advisers that apply for life insurance.
The new online application service is integrated with UnderwriteMe Australia’s technology. The firm provides a suite of data tools and technology that includes an underwriting rules engine, business analytics, user interface and claims rules engine.
“CommInsure is the first to launch digital quote and application processes in Australia using UnderwriteMe’s leading global underwriting engine”, Olivia Sarah-Le Lacheur, CommInsure’s head of life distribution, says.
Sarah-Le Lacheur says CommInsure engaged advisers during the process design, who stressed how asking relevant questions in plain language helped their clients understand what they were being asked and why.
She adds: “Having the capability to remove irrelevant questions for each customer – like asking an accountant if they work underwater – and reducing the need for as much follow-up evidence improves advisers’ productivity.”
